  12. This program is the sixth that I have written with a GUI.
  13. It is one of the programs I have set myself to write to
  14. gain practice in doing this.
  15. There will be many more improvements and functionality added to this program.

  17. This archive also contains an Advanced Search program which will find all
  18. matches in a search, rather than just the first. It will be integrated with
  19. the main program at some point in the future.

  21. Instructions:
  22. *** NOTE - The save files from Version 1.4 are no longer compatible
  23. with this or future versions and will not load properly. ***
  24. Before using this program, the user has to understand how I got around the fact
  25. that as yet I cannot display decimal numbers in a GUI. The decimal numbers
  26. entered into this program are entered as whole numbers, NOT decimal. So,
  27. a mileage of 6.9 miles is entered as 6 then 9 in the two gadgets available.
  28. They have a decimal point displayed between them and the program will appear
  29. to treat them as decimal.
  30. Other than that, enter what data you require, and use the keys with ',' or '.'
  31. to move back and forth through the records. You can also use the '<' & '>'
  32. buttons on the screen.
  33. As for loading and saving, you don't actually need the file extension.
  34. The program should only load files previously saved by it which have not been
  35. altered in the meantime.
  36. As always, don't forget my trademark 'About' menu item.

  44. for any damage occurred as a result of running this program.
